Rock bands usually travel to their gigs in a bus or van.

But CHAD STOKES, lead singer and guitarist for the musically inventive and socio-politically conscious STATE RADIO, will ride his own bicycle to the band’s August 2 show at Bank of America Pavilion on the Boston Harbor, the group’s hometown. It’s his way of encouraging fans to reduce their carbon footprint by arriving by bicycle or taking public transportation to this special concert to raise awareness for the Bikes Not Bombs organization (http://www.stateradio.com/action).
