Paper & Plastick announce vinyl release of Have Nots’ ‘Serf City USA’

Paper + Plastick Records announces the physical release of the Have Nots’ latest full length, Serf City USA, which is also available for free download from the label. Fans can download the album here http://tinyurl.com/HaveNotsP-P, and pick up the record on black, half black and red, or black and red splatter vinyl beginning Monday, June 7th from the P+P webstore.

In support the release, Have Nots have announced a number of tour dates, including shows with friends and fellow Bostonians, Dropkick Murphys, as well as a Fourth of July hometown show with Star Fucking Hipsters.

Solar Bear announces tour

Beginning on Sunday, Solar Bear will embark on a three-week tour of the U.S. in support of its latest release, Captains of Industry. The EP can be purchased digitally via iTunes or directly from the band at shows.

Ernie Halter to release “Franklin & Vermont” in June

LA-based singer-songwriter Ernie Halter is set to release his next album, Franklin & Vermont, on June 29, 2010, on Rock Ridge Music. Featuring 11 tracks – nine originals and two covers – the album was recorded with engineers Spenser Bishop and Carson Liccardi at MixOne Sound in Mission Viejo, CA.

Halter plans to continue on the road in support of Franklin & Vermont, including an upcoming run with labelmate Tony Lucca which will lead up to their appearance at the annual Hotel Carolina singer-songwriter weekend (www.welcometothehotelcarolina.com) in August.

Los Lobos cancel Arizona performance for June 10th

Los Lobos has decided to cancel their scheduled performance at The Talking Stick Resort on June 10th, 2010. The band has made this decision based on the current call to boycott Arizona in response to SB 1070.

Through their management, Los Lobos issued the following statement: “We support the boycott of Arizona. The new law will inevitably lead to unfair racial profiling and possible abuse of people who just happen to look Latino. As a result, in good conscience, we could not see ourselves performing in Arizona. We regret the inconvenience this may have caused the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, Casino Arizona, Talking Stick Resort and our fans, but we feel strongly that it is the right thing to do.”

Orion Walsh ‘The Hitchhiker’s Son’ + tour dates!

Orion Walsh will be releasing his second full length album The Hitchhiker’s Son this July with a tour of the south and west coast to follow. The album was recorded by producer AJ Mogis (Bright Eyes, Cursive, The Faint) at Plan C Studios in Lincoln, Nebraska.

You can hear a few of the new songs on Myspace. The album will be released via iTunes and on CD as well, which will be available for sale at shows.
