Often associated with such fierce and striking artists as Karen O, Siouxsie Sioux, and Chrissie Hynde, Roxy Epoxy made a lasting impact on the punk and indie community in her former band, The Epoxies. Now, freshly rejuvenated with her new band Roxy Epoxy and the Rebound, she’s taking her fierce vocals and embarking on a short run of tour dates in support of her recently released Metropolis album Band-Aids On Bullet Holes. DANKO JONES ANNOUNCE FALL TOUR

As the September 8 release of their new album NEVER TOO LOUD approaches, the hard rock trio DANKO JONES have announced they’ll join British punk icons The Damned for a fall U.S. tour. After wrapping European festival shows in August, DANKO JONES will begin the dates with The Damned October 21 in Cleveland and conclude November 1 in Portland (see itinerary below, more dates to be announced).

TOADIES ANNOUNCE SECOND ANNUAL ‘DIA DE LOS TOADIES’

Dia De Los Toadies. What the hell is it? Dia De Los Toadies is an annual concert hosted by the Toadies at a different location of their choosing. Think along the lines of a big ol’ Texas picnic with the band and five thousand of their closest friends. Singer Vaden Todd Lewis explains, “We got the idea last year to do an annual event at a remote Texas spot… something with a different vibe than the usual club or street festival.”

The first Dia De Los Toadies took place over Labor Day weekend 2008 at Possum Kingdom Lake. Toadies were joined by friends Tejas Brothers, Lions, Dove Hunter and Backsliders. The show was an incredible success, selling out in advance.

The second Dia De Los Toadies takes place on Saturday, Aug 29, 2009 near Rough Creek Ranch in Glen Rose, an hour outside of the band’s hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. It’s a beautiful spot in the country on a private lake situated on an 11,000 acre ranch.

Toadies will be joined by friends The Secret Machines, Bowling for Soup, Ben Kweller, Eleven Hundred Springs, and The Boom Boom Box.

Over Stars And Gutters – New Record / Tour

Beginning on Saturday, Norman, Oklahoma’s Over Stars And Gutters will hit the road for a short midwestern jaunt in support of their self-released debut, Consider This Your Curse.

For fans of Dillinger Four and Off With Their Heads, Consider This Your Curse is a collection of punk rock anthems that breeds much more than your standard, mindless fist-pumping. The album is sincere and passionate yet ripe with despair and confusion. Over Stars And Gutters wrap their jaded, lyrical stabs in heaps of emphatic melody. This is raw and urgent pop/punk for people ready and willing to challenge the staus quo. In the words of Over Stars And Gutters, “We have no other choice but to live for what we truly love.” Punk rock is still alive and well and records like Consider This Your Curse prove that.
