LOCKSLEY ADDS MORE TOUR DATES

Locksley returns with their new album Be In Love on January 26th, 2010. The four-piece band, brothers Jesse and Jordan Laz, Kai Kennedy, and Sam Bair are very excited about the new material. “We’ve broadened and narrowed our outlook on this album” Jesse remarked. “We added a third vocalist and songwriter in Jordan, which was big and we were listening to and pulling from a larger variety of music than before. At the same time, we cut a lot of fat in our parts and tightened up the arrangements quite a bit so the album ends up feeling more focused than the last one, even though it’s spread out over more voices.”

BE IN LOVE WITH THE RETURN OF LOCKSLEY

On their 2007 debut Don’t Make Me Wait, unsigned, Wisconsin natives, Locksley found success with a fresh and exciting mix of garage-pop and brit-rock. The band’s forthcoming, follow-up album finds them exploring their American musical roots with bits of Swing, 50’s Doo-Wop, 60’s Soul and early American-Punk coming together to create something uniquely and confidently their own.

Locksley returns with their new album Be In Love on January 26th, 2010. The four-piece band, brothers Jesse and Jordan Laz (rhythm guitar and bass respectively), Kai Kennedy (lead guitar) and Sam Bair (drums) are very excited about the new material.

Locksley will preview many of the new songs from Be In Love on their fall tour supporting Chesapeake, Virginia’s Mae, which will begin on September 24th in Chapel Hill and continue through Salt Lake City on October 21st.

BARCELONA RELEASES ABSOLUTES ON APRIL 28TH

Seattle-based trio Barcelona are set to release an expanded and remixed version of their acclaimed debut album Absolutes on April 28th via Universal Motown. In anticipation of the release, the band offers an exclusive stream of an acoustic version of the new track “Come Back When You Can.” Following several successful performances at SXSW, Barcelona is ready to hit the road with a US tour that includes dates with Mae. (Tour dates below)

Originally released in August 2007 on the band’s own NBD Music, Absolutes received rave reviews from coast to coast. “Barcelona has captured fleeting emotions and indescribable feelings,” opined the Boston Globe, “and put them into the slightly more tangible forms of music and lyrics.” “Not only the best local debut of 2007,” declared Seattle Weekly, “it might be the best local release, period, of 2007.”
