Piebald announce 6 disc re-release of their Robust Back Catalog via Rise Records

Rise Records is pleased to announce the re-release of Piebald’s extensive back catalog.

Volume I: Features 2 discs containing their early years including the album When Life Hands You Lemons. Also included are rarities from their split 7” with Cave In and early recordings with now famed producer Brian McTernan. (in stores April 27th)

Volume II: Features 2 discs containing more from their early years including the albums If It Weren’t For Venetian Blinds It Would be Curtains For Us All and Rock Revolution Will Not Be Televised. Also included are covers of Slayer, Jawbreaker and Weezer. (in stores May 25th)

Volume III: Features 2 discs containg the album We Are The Only Friends That We Have as well as other hard to find B sides and rarities including several radio shows. (in stores July 20th)

This collection is a must for all Piebald fans both old and new.

Locksley returns with ‘Be In Love’ due out March 16th

Locksley will release their new album Be In Love (Feature Records) on March 16th, 2010.

Rock and Roll legend Ray Davies commented on the band’s upcoming album: “I got to know the guys in Locksley last year when they served as my backing band for my U.S. tour. I just heard their forthcoming album Be In Love and I was reminded why I loved these guys in the first place.”

The band’s second single from the album: “The Whip” was recently heralded by Marie Claire as: “College-rock guitar pop so gleefully infectious, the urge to shout along…can’t be ignored.”

Bullet For My Valentine to release new album April 27th.

Bullet For My Valentine returns with its third Jive album, Fever, on April 27. The official first single, the blistering “Your Betrayal” impacts at radio on March 9, with a video to follow shortly.

Eager to get new music into their fans’ hands as quickly as possible, BFMV is offering album track “Begging For Mercy” as a free download for a limited time at BulletForMyValentine.com.

The electrifying live band starts a headlining U.S. tour on April 30th. Stops for the festival veterans include New Jersey’s Bamboozle Festival and Columbus, Ohio’s Rock on the Range. Equal Vision Records is pleased to welcome to its’ roster Places And Numbers – the electronic-tinged solo outfit of former Gatsby’s American Dream guitarist, Bobby Darling.

Waking The Dead EP, to be released next month via Bandcamp’s “pay what you want” model, and documentary-style videos to accompany the release of the full-length album, Travels, later this year. The sound, while reminiscent of the Postal Service, pulls musical influences from acts as diverse as Talking Heads, the Strokes, Death Cab For Cutie and Kanye West.

Portugal. The Man announce new headline tour!

Wasilla, Alaska’s Portugal. The Man have announced new headlining tour dates with fellow Alaskan’s Port O’Brien and New York’s The Dig. The band will play songs from their recently released The Satanic Satanist as well as the forthcoming (release date TBA) album, American Ghetto.

As they have done with past tours, the band has put together a free tour sampler at their website.

Pianos Become The Teeth – Pre-Order New CD!

Topshelf Records (Defeater, My Heart To Joy) is excited to announce that Old Pride, the label’s highly anticipated first release of 2010 from hardcore outfit Pianos Become The Teeth, is now available for pre-order.

The Baltimore band’s sophomore full-length is set for a digital release on January 12th and a physical release on January 26th. However, pre-orders will be shipping earlier.

The band is streaming a new track, “Pensive”, on its Myspace page. The song “Filial” is still available as a free mp3 as well.

Finally, Pianos Become The Teeth is gearing up for its January release shows in NJ, MA and NY, followed by a short release tour of the Southeast with In The Hollows.
