New National video for “Terrible Love”
In homage to the rich tradition of “road dawg” music videos (ref. Pavement’s “Range Life”), and virtually every power ballad third single released between 1986-1989, we present the brand new video for the alternate version of “Terrible Love,” a bonus track from the expanded edition of The National’s High Violet set for Nov. 22 release on 4AD.
The video, directed by Tom Berninger, features tons of behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s never-ending 2010 tour, including their European festival stops and their performance at a rally for President Obama in Madison, WI last month.
Other highlights from the expanded edition of High Violet include two new previously unreleased tracks, b-sides and live recordings.
