EMPIRE! EMPIRE! (I WAS A LONELY ESTATE) – TOUR

Beginning on Friday, Michigan’s Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) will embark on a short Winter tour in support of its two latest releases on Count Your Lucky Stars.

Over a year in the making, the band’s debut full-length, What It Takes To Move Forward, shows some major growth for the quartet. With a more varied songwriting pallette, Empire! Empire! shape its emo heritage into a bold indie rock album full of progression while still maitaining a striking air of familiarity.

The record will officially be out on September 29th, but Nakatomi Plaza will have copies on tour. It is also available via iTunes and other digital music services…or if you’re a “try before you buy” type of person, head on over to Punknews.org as the website is streaming Ghosts in its entirety.

NAKATOMI PLAZA – NEW RECORD/FAREWELL TOUR

After ten years, four full-lengths, a handful of EPs, singles and comp tracks, countless DIY tours and basement shows, and a tireless dedication to an independent punk rock ethic, to boot, Nakatomi Plaza has decided to call it a day. And while there are plenty of great ways to say “goodbye” to everyone who supported your band for a decade, two of the very best include releasing one last amazing record and subsequently backing it up with a tour and a two-day fest with awesome bands and some of your best friends.

Ghosts, the final self-released full-length from Nakatomi Plaza, will see an official September 29, 2009 release date. However, the Brooklyn, NY trio will also have copies of the record on its upcoming farewell trek, named The Coda Tour.

For a limited time only – today until August 30th – the band will offer Ghosts to everyone as a free / pay-what-you-like digital release. To download your copy, go here. The record is available from iTunes and other digital music services as well.

As previously mentioned, beginning on August 31st, Nakatomi Plaza will be embarking on The Coda Tour in support of Ghosts. The band will be sharing the stage with likes of Lemuria, Landmines, Rapid Cities, The New Dress, Avec, Eric Ayotte, Trophy Wife and Good Luck to name a few, not to mention five days on the road with Attica! Attica!. The tour will culminate with Buddy Fest, two days of awesome music and good friends gathering to see off one of the hardest working independent bands in the past decade.
