HURRICANE BELLS: “THIS YEAR” VIDEO PREMIERE
Today Hurricane Bells premiered their new video for “This Year” on Entertainment Weekly’s Music Mix blog. Check out the Bill Moldt and Christopher Bean-directed video here. “This Year” is the first single off the band’s upcoming debut album Tonight Is The Ghost, which will be released digitally on November 10th via Vagrant Records. “This Year” can also now be downloaded as an mp3 here.
Additionally, with album b-side “Monsters” featured on The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack, Hurricane Bells is confirmed to perform on The Twilight Saga: New Moon Talent Tour in two cities later this month. The band will perform in Philadelphia, PA, and Boston, MA, as part of the 15-city tour where Twilight fans can attend Q&A forums with many of the movie’s cast members and be treated with performances by several artists featured on the film’s soundtrack.

11/12 Boston, MA – Natick Collection Hot Topic store
Hurricane Bells is a new project from Steve Schiltz, the singer and guitarist of Longwave. Tonight Is The Ghost was entirely written, played, recorded (with a MacBook and an Mbox), and mixed by Schiltz alone; a combination of songs fully crafted recently and others newly architected from pieces written throughout his years as a songwriter. With a moody, late-night and soulful feeling, Tonight Is The Ghost is a mix of chiming guitar-pop and hauntingly melancholic, mournfully atmospheric songs.

LIFE ON REPEAT “AS I GREW” EP AVAILABLE NOW
Although the official release date isn’t until December 1st, Life On Repeat are giving fans a chance to get their new EP, As I Grew, over a month early! Furthermore, Life On Repeat and Equal Vision Records are empowering fans by allowing you to choose your own price for the album.
Just over two months ago, Life On Repeat entered Brian McTernan’s Salad Days Studio in Baltimore to record what would become As I Grew. “We had more than enough material written,” says guitarist, Andrew Baylis. However, the band narrowed it down to four songs: “Southern Girls”, “The Message Is You”, “Buzzkill”, and “Separation”. Even with just four tracks, the band’s wide range of influences can be heard loud and clear, from catchy pop hooks to heavy breakdowns, and come together seamlessly.
In support of the new album, Life On Repeat will head out on tour in December with Sent By Ravens (Tooth & Nail) and Hollywood Lies:

SLEEP BELLUM SONNO RELEASE NEW LP
Sleep Bellum Sonno have returned with a new line-up and an incredible sophomore record that pushes the band into exciting new directions. Judge Us By How We Lived Our Lives Not By How We Made Our Living is available now on 12″ vinyl (500 black). The LP package includes a CD version of the album as well.
Judge Us By How We Lived Our Lives… is an unforgiving piece that props up the dying art form that is the album. While other bands are busy writing songs, Sleep Bellum Sonno have composed an ambitious, conceptual record that not only stretches the limits of the artist, but of the listener as well.
Recorded live, the album tells the tale of twelve characters who all intertwine into one larger story of a husband / father leaving his wife and two sons behind. To say that Judge Us… is a challenging listen might be an understatement. But for those willing to indulge themselves, the riches buried within are plenty. Art imitates life and life is unforgiving. Still, no matter what choices are made there is always hope for redemption.

In the label’s typical fashion, this EP will be available on 12” vinyl with a die cut gatefold jacket as well as available for digital download through the label’s website www.paperandplastick.com. To coincide with this announcement the band has teamed up with Revolver Magazine to premiere the track “Bulletproof Tiger,” which can be heard here: http://tinyurl.com/aws-tiger.

The band, who have released three albums in four years on Nitro Records, took some time off from the constant touring/writing/recording cycle of the past to focus on this new EP. Fans need not worry though, as the band is currently out on the road across the US, and will be making an appearance at this year’s edition of The Fest. “The reason for this long break from touring is because we took a crack at recording ourselves,” guitarist/vocalist Trevor Reilly recently stated. “This five song EP is an eclectic mix of all the avenues the band have gone down since Mute Print–and we’ll be throwing them into the sets on these upcoming tours.”
