Funeral Party Announce Tour w/…Trail Of Dead

Funeral Party will be hitting the road with …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead next month as direct support on their full US tour. See confirmed dates below. The band is also confirmed for SXSW 2009. Funeral Party’s debut album is set for release on April 21st and music will be available in the near future. In the meantime, their digital only The Bootleg EP is out now at all digital retailers featuring their blogger approved jam “Car Wars.”

SHIROCK’S ‘EVERYTHING BURNS TOUR’ KICKS OFF JANUARY 30

Nashville’s SHIROCK is preparing to embark on its ‘Everything Burns Tour’ beginning January 30. Proceeds from February 6 – February 22 tour dates will go to local charities working to solve issues of homelessness and poverty.

Having recorded their debut release Everything Burns at Nashville’s Ocean Way Studio with producer Jay Ruston (The Donnas, Everclear, Matisyahu, Cold War Kids), the release will be available internationally via iTunes on February 3. The first 200 digital discs ordered will come autographed with four exclusive songs.

SHIROCK’S other plans for 2009 include expanding their Nashville-based fashion line, Irock Clothing, which Chuck and Pap launched in 2008 as a creative outlet and means to develop their brand. The line, which features shirts, jackets, bags, and accessories, has been carried in stores regionally, and has sold out at every boutique that carried it.

TAKE ACTION TOUR

Hopeless Records, in coordination with the non-profit organization Sub City has just announced details for its eighth CD/DVD benefit compilation. The CD/DVD compilation will be available on tour and in stores February 17th and will include unreleased tracks from Meg & Dia, The Spill Canvas, and Four Year Strong, as well as unreleased videos from Rise Against and All Time Low.5% of the suggested retail price for each Take Action! Volume 8 unit sold is donated to DoSomething.org.

The charitable release coincides with the 2009 SUB CITY TAKE ACTION TOUR, PRESENTED BY F.Y.E., which begins on February 11th in Sauget, IL. Like the compilation, the tour benefits DoSomething.org with 10% of the ticket sale proceeds donated to the charity. Fans will be able to pick up the compilation from the f.y.e booth at every Take Action Tour stop after February 17th, along with the releases from the tour’s lineup- Cute Is What We Aim For, Breathe Carolina, Meg & Dia, Every Avenue, and Anarbor.

A Skylit Drive

A Skylit Drive co-headlines The Artery Foundation Tour this Spring with Dance Gavin Dance and support acts Attack Attack!, Lower Definition, and In Fear And Faith. It will kick off in San Diego, CA on April 6th and will hit cities across the country.
 
The band is currently in the studio recording their sophomore record with Casey Bates (Chiodos, Pierce The Veil) which is expected to hit stores Summer 2009.  With new songs and excited fans expect this tour to sell out quickly.

Mansions to Release Debut Full-Length w/ Massive B-Sides Disc

Prolific recording and touring artist, Mansions, who on record is Christopher Browder, is set to release the band’s debut full-length, New Best Friends, on March 3 via Doghouse Records. The release will include the 12-song studio release on Disc 1, followed by a bonus MP3 CD on Disc 2, featuring the entire MP3 Initiative (http://www.doghouserecords.com/mansionsepinitiative/), a 7 EP project the band released throughout late 2008.

A pre-order for the double-disc will launch next week and will include an 11×17″ poster plus a 5×5″ original water color painting by Christopher (limited to 200, each one being complete different and therefore unique).

One Win Choice – 7-inch Pre-Order and Stream

DEFINE / REDEFINE, the latest three-song 7-inch from New Jersey hardcore punk band, ONE WIN CHOICE, is now available for pre-order from Jump Start Records. The vinyl will see an official release date of February 16th, 2009.

Limited to 300 and pressed on clear vinyl, each copy of Define / Redefine will include an MP3 download card for the three songs, plus two additional tracks as well. Furthermore, One Win Choice will offer a hand screen printed CD version for sale exclusively at shows.

All five songs are currently streaming at the band’s website. Define / Redefine was recorded in September 2008 by Mike Rummel at Below Sea Level. Rummel has worked with The Bouncing Souls, Spanish Bombs, Pitch Black Blonde and Gimme Drugs.

In other news, Spring 2009 will find One Win Choice touring the U.S. and Europe in support of the new 7-inch, as well as their debut full-length, Never Suspend Disbelief. More details coming soon…

Static Radio NJ – US Tour / New Vinyl

STATIC RADIO NJ (New Brunswick, N.J.) kicks off a month-long tour of the U.S. today. The four piece will be touring with Fallen From The Sky (Eulogy).

In other news, Static Radio NJ’s debut full-length, AN EVENING OF BAD DECISIONS, will receive the vinyl treatment from Black Numbers. Originally released in CD format by the label on September 9th, 2008, you can pre-order the 12-inch LP version now.

Orders will ship a week before the official release date (April 7th, 2009). Additionally, everyone who places a pre-order will be entered in a contest to win a test pressing of the record. For more info, go here.

Featuring brand new artwork, there will be 1000 copies of the 12-inch pressed: 500 on black, 300 White and 200 Clear. Each will include a digital download for the record as well.
