The fourth album from A Static Lullaby, “Rattlesnake!” is available for pre order today through Interpunk, Smartpunk, and Merchnow.
A Static Lullaby goes head to head with Britney Spears on the band’s not so bubblegum-pop cover of her hit song, “Toxic”. After the popularity of their cover of Frou Frou’s “Let Go”, A Static Lullaby went back into the studio to give fans an addicting new bonus track. Everyone who pre orders the album before its street date will receive this Britney Spears cover of “Toxic” from A Static Lullaby as an MP3 download the same day. If you can’t wait until September 9th for the CD, you can listen to the “Rattlesnake!” sampler, now playing on their Myspace page. The sampler plays clips from every track off their upcoming album. To hear your favorite tracks, be sure to catch A Static Lullaby this summer co-headlining on the Party Star Tour with Dance Gavin Dance, Four Letter Lie, Secret and Whisper and Lower Definition. You can also see A Static Lullaby this fall with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster, Showbread, Confide, and Attack Attack! The tour kicks off on September 26th in Memphis, TN and ends on November 15, 2008. |

EVERLEA’S SELF-TITLED DEBUT AVAILABLE TODAY DIGITALLY
Today EVERLEA’s self-titled Glassnote/RED Distribution debut hits digital distribution outlets in the U.S. in anticipation to the physical release on September 2nd.
The album, recorded with stalwart hardcore producer Brian McTernan (Recover, Senses Fail, Thrice), is an example of both Everlea and McTernan’s flexibility and dedication to making a great record. The thirteen tracks on Everlea’s self-titled disc are unlike anything McTernan has worked on, showing his versatility and desire to work with a band that would break him from his “hard rock producer” stereotype.
“It’s truly hard to classify Everlea,” says Outburn Magazine, “[But] What’s amazing is that the record never loses its accessibility, no matter what weird instruments or atmospheres it may drift into.” With lyrics relatable to any teenager coming of age and Everlea’s blend of melodic rock, Outburn claimed “Everlea is the kind of band that can break into the mainstream, but also push it a bit – exactly what modern music needs.”
The Kingston, Ontario quartet, made up of Justin Dube on vocals/guitar, Casey Shea on guitar, Chris Benton on bass and Brendan Soares on drums, can be seen in the Backbeat section of the latest Billboard Magazine.

THERE FOR TOMORROW: EP out now!
Hopeless recording artists THERE FOR TOMORROW have been busy keeping Vans Warped Tour audiences in ancipation for their self-titled EP which is released nationwide today and garnering critical acclaim. All Music Guide contends: “A perfect mix of neo-rock, indie-pop and punk, the group’s eponymous EP demands attention.” Aquarian Weekly opines: “the boys of There For Tomorrow have become self-groomed into a unified musical powerhouse that is sure to be one of those bands to watch out for in the coming months.” Alternative Press singles out the track “Pages” in particular and calls it “a killer song.” Produced by multi-time Gold record producer James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, Dashboard Confessional) at the helm, There For Tomorrow captures the exuberance and excitement on which the band has built their live shows.
With Warped Tour behind them, they are about to embark on their next run with Ivoryline and Take the Crown, with some dates supporting Anberlin and Straylight Run (with Scary Kids Scaring Kids on select dates) later in the Fall.

KOUFAX SINGLE – ANY MOMENT NOW – OUT TOMORROW
Koufax is offering up a taste of their upcoming album Strugglers with a digital release of the first single “Any Moment Now” on August 5th. With a crazy horn section and tales of a shady downtown drug deal, the frantic funkiness exudes the musicianship and wit that sets Koufax apart from the pack. Also available is the exclusive b-side “George Michael Issues”- a look at the distracting popstar scandals that fill our news while more important issues remain unnoticed. This one, as most know, takes place in a Beverly Hills bathroom.
Our neighbors to the north at the blog Muzak for Cybernetics are offering the album’s title track and states, “If you ask me, not enough people have heard this band… If you’re into poppy piano ballads and dreamy synthesizers, this is one band you definitely must check out. Considering the fact that they sound kind of similar to Spoon, I’m surprised they haven’t completely lit up the blogosphere by now.”
Strugglers hits stores September 23rd via Doghouse Records. The 10-song collection of hip-shakin’ rock and indie-pop bliss is sure to be one of this fall’s must-have albums. With lyrical strength and a delivery that Rolling Stone calls “dramatic, Morrissey-like crooning,” Robert Suchan ranks as one of the most talented (though often underappreciated) frontmen in the game.
Returning from his Czech outpost, Suchan and band hit the road in August including select dates with Smoking Popes. Current dates include…
